We are excited to finally debut our brand new website and logo! The Naked Oyster is new to the internet, so we thought we’d write an article to let everyone know what The Naked Oyster is all about.
So, What is the naked oyster?
The Naked Oyster is a new breed of oyster, delivered to your bar or restaurant ready to shuck and eat immediately. They are free from mud, grime, barnacles, silt or any of the other inconveniences that can distract from an oyster’s taste. Our oysters are grown in conditions that are known for producing the best tasting oysters in the world, and we think the best way to enjoy them is 100% naked, on the half shell with an ice cold beer.
Where do they come from?
Our Oysters are cultivated and harvested in north-eastern Virginia’s Mobjack Bay. The Mobjack Bay’s environmental conditions are well known for producing some of the best tasting oysters in the world. Mobjack Bay is the melting pot of the North, East, and Ware rivers. We also gets the freshwater effluent from the Piankatank, Rappahannock, and Potomac rivers just north of Mobjack Bay, reducing the salinity of the oysters at Mobjack Bay and creating a decadent, sensual dance of sweet and salty tastes.
How do I get them?
Our oysters are available for delivery to your restaurant or bar and believe us… once you add them to the menu, your customers will ask for them by name. Even people who have never tried oysters, or claim to dislike them agree: Their taste is simply out-of-this-world.
